the line between

The lines between protectionism, patriotism and a wise consumer is a blurry one at times but the hallmark of the era that through it all away was their foolhardy decision to line-up every weekend at the big-box stores and ship their dollars far, far away.

To some pride in manufacturing has been lost but that is far from the case. The consumer, a product of father-less generations forgot to respect ownership, forgot to know what it was likely to extend your hand to manufacturer, who shook back knowing that pride and quality are the pillars that they and the nation is built on.

As you go towards your day today, complaining and aching about the plight of finances, stop for a moment and look in the mirror. Ask yourself are you part of the problem or the solution.

Support local business and let the big-box stores echo in their empty halls as a reminder to those who tread on our livelihood. And in continuation of that support local farm initiatives with the purchase of only regionally grown items where possible.
