The breeding ground of hate takes many forms. Quite often basic ignorance is the simple rationale and still other times their is a less easily seen notion of hate and prejudice. Examples are endless, both large and small but hate and prejudice need to be culled at the bud.
As the Anderson Family publicly commits to "Buy Black" and urges others to do so it opens up the gateway to hate. While termed an "Empowerment Experiment" it is simply a movement that promotes purchasing decisions made on race and opens the door to similar actions from other groups. Empowerment is not building the walls of hate and prejudice but breaking them down and improving the quality of society. The only thing this "movement" will do is resurrect walls of hate that should have long since been torn down.
Once the media has done a disservice in presenting this story because it is neither uplifting or empowering. Should the media actually return one day to reporting on facts as opposed to re-writing news to suit "market share" it would have presented what this truly is; a sad commentary on the country.
