finally someone asks about pre-packaged questions

For the most part, the American media has done a deplorable job in its political coverage for a number of years. While the precise point and time when true journalism perished is difficult to pin down, the most recent election and the events there after have been an embarrassment as well as a disservice to the public.

With the much of the media pandering to either side of the political spectrum, cold hard facts are rarely presented and the public unknowingly is spoon-fed what it is "supposed" to hear. Long past the pep-rally politics of the most recent election and the comedic notion of a "unbiased" Town Hall meeting that in-truth are well scripted events, the media has stood by and said absolutely nothing.

Given that I have been more than a morsel harsh on journalists of today and for that matter despise the "cut and paste" artists who hide under the veil of "citizen journalists", it is equally time to note credit when it is due.

While it should be to no surprise, veteran journalist Helen Thomas took charge of the situation and made the first assault on the prepackaged questions that the present administration has carefully arranged. If the present administration is to the fly under the flag of transparency, it is time it showed a morsel of it.
